Item Description
These 3 pieces are quality made with one pin and the stickpin marked "Sterling." The other pin is brass. The sterling pieces say on the reverse "E.R. Nebeling, N.Y. Copyright 1915/Sterling." The brass piece is by "Dieges & Clust" also with 1915 date. The front design on all 3 pieces is identical and portrays rear view of a kneeling man naked from the waist up with bar and chains through his arms at his elbows and his hands in chains. At center is text "Friends Of Peace 1915." Symbols on each quadrant of the piece are a shield and cross with "Humanity" upper left, upper right is shield with tiny sailing ship and word "Trade." Lower left is a sword broken at the hilt while at lower right resting on the ground is the war helmet of the god "Mars." First we've seen. Brass pin is Exc. while the pair of sterling pieces are essentially Mint.
