Item Description
See previous items #1469-1471. Lot includes 2 similarly designed Imp Cannibal Chef figures both standing about 5.25" tall. First figure is believed earlier design, Chef with black skirt and ankle decorations, standing on grass base with yellow shoes. Complete with original hoop earrings and beaded necklace. Underside of base is marked "© Irene Nye 204B." Second figure is similar design but with different head position and stands in bare feet, not on base. Complete with original hoop earrings, beaded necklace and copper bracelet. "Irene Nye Ceramics" original foil sticker on stomach. Light dust soiling to hair as is typical. Second version Chef has factory split between feet as produced. Both display N. Mint. Come with 1.75" tall glazed ceramic cauldron which has light crazing and is Exc./N. Mint. This cauldron holds separate 3" tall bound "Mr. Woe," an unfortunate missionary. Mr. Woe has original "Irene Nye Ceramic" on feet and hairline running up length of back from base and up to knees on other side of base. VG but still displays VF. Great design and whimsical scene.
