Banner was used in the finest theaters to promote the original 1940 release of the Universal picture "The Invisible Man Returns" starring Vincent Price and Sir Cedric Hardwicke, in a sequel to 1933's "The Invisible Man." Based on H.G. Wells' classic story, banner features a silhouette of man with raised club in hand as shadow appears on bkg. Green silk-screened bkg. design shows obvious wear with all-over surface loss but this does not affect display and in no way affects text. Lightly aged with 1.5" stain at bottom. VG/Fine. Original release movie posters for this film have sold within the last few years for as much as $12,000.00. This is much rarer than any poster and the first we've seen.
