Item Description
Tin litho pair in matching style, each 6" dia. by 2" deep. Probably held biscuits or candy. First is c. late 1930s with lid image of Mickey, Minnie and a long-billed Donald watching Pluto on television. In the bkg. hangs a picture of Clarabelle. Sides are in red and gold luster featuring running images of Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Interior worn with scattered aging. Outside also has obvious scattered wear and aging including a number of indents, paint nicks, scratches, etc. Lid still very glossy with bright color and overall VG. Second tin is c. 1940. Lid depicts Donald painting a picture of Mickey. An unusual assortment of characters appear on the sides in red/gold including Mickey and Donald along with the 3 little pigs, Robber Kitten, Elmer, Peculiar Penguins. Lid has numerous scattered small indents, much of which is only visible in reflected light. Small scattered paint wear with some nicks and scratches mostly on outer rim edge. Bright, glossy and Fine.
