This is the companion watch to the rare girls watch with charms (see item #1831) and was also issued at the same time, Fall of 1937. Similarities exist in both box art and watch case/dial design. However, this watch has a different metal link band with clasp and was not issued with the charms. This box is smaller 2.5x5x1.5" deep with triangular insert. Lid features same image of Mickey as previous item although a totally different image of him appears on the inside of the lid. White areas of the box have aged, top left corner has .75" sliver of missing surface paper. Paper hinge on back is split but lid still attached although top back panel has some small pieces of top surface paper missing. Underside of box has 2" dia. moisture stain. Box remains tight and color is strong. Fine. Watch has exceptionally clean dial, case and band have near full, bright luster. Running. Exc. Rare watch with even rarer box.
