Item Description
Lot of two from 1942. First is a 9.5x13" linen-like "Picture Book." Whitman No. 930 with 16 pages featuring choice near full page full color story art. Scattered trace of cover wear, mostly along spine edge. Several pages have minor hairline ripple as printed. Cover Fine. Contents VF. Second is 9.5x14.5" cut-out book. Australian printing by Colourtone/Ayers & James of the Whitman book No. 966. Cardboard cover and 2 inside pages featuring character and bkg. scene cut-outs, back cover includes illustration of diorama set-up. Light scattered cover wear/aging but unused. VF. Both this and the Whitman versions are scarce. Our last copy of the Whitman version sold for $330. From the Joel Cohen Collection.
