Item Description
Tin litho toy with built-in key consists of dancer figure and building base, total height of 10.5". Copyright 1921. Original box shows some wear in the form of a pushed-in area with crease about 2" long along one side plus tape residue on 2 corners. Also has small puncture mark not affecting the image. Plain bottom shows some light water staining and has original pencil price of 50¢ on bottom. VG. Base of toy features great images on all sides of black adults and children playing instruments, singing, dancing, etc. Toy works. Has original metal post that attaches figure to the base. Figure has moderate scattered wear with paint nicks and rubs mostly evident where legs and arms move back and forth against each other. In back of Jazzbo's coat there is an area of black lithography about 1x.5" where two halves of coat come together. This is as produced. Figure still displays Fine. Base has overall light wear in the form of a few light scratches although roof has little of the normal wear and displays VF. Overall Fine. Classic wind-up.
