11.5" tin litho toy with built-in key. Copyright 1930 Correll & Gosden. This toy was designed in two versions with and without moving eyes. This is the non-moving eyes version. Toy is marked on the back "Original And Genuine Authorized Amos Genuine Facimile Signature" with the aforementioned Correll & Gosden copyright. Toy works and upper body rocks side to side as it walks forward and separate arms move. The arms are hand-painted tin replacements. Chest has scattered spots of missing paint caused by the arms rubbing against body. Rear of pants also have small areas of missing paint. Overall toy is bright and glossy on both sides and has the original shoes which are often missing. Other small scattered traces of paint wear but still a Fine working example.
