Item Description
8" tall toy consisting of figure with rubber hands, tin litho face with movable eyes and tin litho base with fence. By Cragstan, 1950s, Japan. Colorful box features artwork combined with photos of the toy. Box has small bit of missing surface paper on one side from removal of price tag, 1.5" tear on one side and slight damage at one corner. Still displays Fine. Lady Pup is nicely dressed with separate apron and pink bonnet with white frills. In one hand, she holds paper flowers, in the other a plastic sprinkler can. This hand had at one point broken off at the wrist and has been glued. The glue is visible although it is not that offensive. Toy works and she bends over as she raises and lowers the sprinkling can a few times. She then stands upright and her eyes blink and flower petals open to expose a yellow transparent cover which lights. Toy has a nice appearance for display complete with many different accessory pieces constructed from a variety of materials. One of the classic Japanese battery toys. Aside from aforementioned wrist problem, still displays VF with little wear apparent.
