7" tall painted cast metal by "Luntoy" England, 1950s. Box has applied label. This has two areas of missing surface paper. These have been filled in and properly colored to match. Label also has some writing in green ink. O/w box clean and tight. Fine. The box also states "By Arrangement With Miss Joy Lauery And The B.B.C." This very heavy cast puppet was a character in a popular 1950s English TV show on the B.B.C. called Whirligig. The toy is missing generic thick wire controller and strings. Figure still will sit independently for display. Light wear in the form of missing paint along edge crease on front of pants and few paint chips on arms and hands. Also, some paint wear on back of his head and along the neck areas. Still displays Fine.
