7.5x22" frame contains matted original pen and ink art for Mar. 27, 1942 daily strip. Four-panel strip features Moon Mullins going to patent office to copyright portable air raid shelter. Moon then gets directed by secretary to office resulting in end gag. News Syndicate Co. Inc. copyright paste-on in first panel. Inscribed "To My Good Friend Louis G. Caldwell With Best Wishes From His Loving Son Frank." Last panel signed with Willard's last name. Scattered age spotting. VF.
