Item Description
An iconic item of the 1896 campaign inspired by the gold/silver coinage issue. Cardboard reverse has some tan age marks and pencil marks but all easily readable including name of famous token and medal maker "Jas. Murdock Jr." McKinley image, as typical, has dents on the brass shell areas of his cheek, forehead and hair, but these detract little from the gorgeous N. Mint brass luster of the 5" dia. coin-like design reading "Wm. McKinley For President." Above a brass bar reads "An Honest Dollar" and all is suspended from precisely-detailed, downward-swooping, spread-winged eagle which serves as the bar pin. A great centerpiece for an 1896 collection.
