Item Description
We've seen only a few single item sales of buttons from this great set of 12 presidential/political caricature buttons. Those few sales ran from $75 to $147 per. Here is an essentially Mint as made set. Each is 2-1/8x3-1/8". Reverse curls read "Copyright 1996 by Peter Green Design, Inc./Bex, Ltd. Part Of The O.S.P. Pub., Inc. Group - 200 Diversion, Rochester, MI. 48307." Depicted are: Bill Clinton as cheeseburger champion, Hillary Clinton as nurse with "S.S. Whitewater" raft/Mary Matlin - James Carville in opposite ends of their bed/Ross Perot as Hercules bringing down columns topped by elephant and donkey/Robert Dole as Godzilla crushing the Hollywood sign with his reptilian feet as he holds a pair of film reels/Oliver North with microphone on his "soap" box also labeled "Assault Weapons"/Pat Buchanan as Robin Hood shooting flag-draped arrows as he stands at the center of a circle formed by his victims/Lamar Alexander as pastry chef holding freshly-sliced piece of the U.S. Capitol/Newt Gingerich as heavenly angel holding his makeshift halo above his head in one hand and his "Contract With America" in his other hand. Colin Powell seated at desk autographing a stack of his biographies. On desk front these words are crossed out: "Book Signing/Voting!" but then re-written below are the words "Book Signing"/Rush Limbaugh as a happy cigar-smoking, gun-toting man while on his wall hangs the trophy head of the Democratic donkey/Steve Forbes standing on the "GO" block of a Monopoly game holding his silver spoon in one hand and displaying his "Pay Flat Tax" plan with the other.
