Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
Large and beautifully designed 2.5" button c. 1930s. Shows driver in speeding race car accented by checkered flags and additional text "For Hoosier Hospitality." In reflected light a couple longer and a couple of shorter hairline scratches show and on the grille of the racer is a tiny 1/16" cello cut. While these things show in reflected light, under normal viewing about the only thing that can be picked up is a pinpoint dot on the yellow bkg. above the car's right wheel. Still displays totally clean and glossy with intense color. Covered tin back with stamp of maker W&H. Only about the 4th or 5th we've seen.
