Item Description
Complete 9x12", 8-page sheet music for 1942 classic "Casablanca" song "As Time Goes By." While sheet music features bw photos of film stars Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid, sheet music has been signed by Dooley Wilson, the African-American actor who portrayed Sam the piano player of "Play It Again Sam" fame. Signed in blue ink "Best Wishes 'As Time Goes By' Dooley Wilson 'Casablanca'." Wilson, one of the most referenced film stars of the 1940s died in 1953, making his signature a hard one to find. Sheet music has moderate handling wear and aging at margins, only slightly affecting signature which is in lower right-hand corner of front cover. Overall, sheet music is Fine. Signature area is bold and Exc. Comes with Hake's COA.
