5.5x4.5" tall figural painted and glazed ceramic mug depicts funny man Bob Hope's head as a mug. c. 1940s. Handle to mug is that of a golf club, which Hope was rarely seen without. Silver luster handle and 4 gold luster "nails" in putter head. Hope's likeness is caricature and prominently features his ski-slope nose and his large chin makes up the base of the mug. Bottom is stamped "Hollywood Mugs By Barclay." We have offered a variety of this mug in the past, with putter handle painted differently and lacking luster accents. N. Mint. See following item #1315.
