Item Description
7/8" dia. brass rim once held a glass covering over the crystal-clear sepia cardboard photo. Glass is missing as is the vertical stickpin from the tin reverse although the small tin tab meant to hold the pin in place is still intact. On the reverse, the outer edge of the tin backing is about 50% beneath the encircling brass frame and about 50% popped out of the encircling frame. However, the back is still firmly fixed into position and the piece is not so loose that it comes apart. On the cardboard photo, upper right edge has near invisible 1/16" surface tear but really showing just under magnification. A rare piece unlisted in both DeWitt and Hake. Displays quite nicely with super-crisp, clean photo.
