Item Description
These are all 1" brass except Clay is 1-1/16". The Clay is listed as DeWitt 1840-1. As such, it would be the only Clay medalet from the 1840 campaign. Obverse has his portrait and reads "Henry Clay And The American System." Reverse reads "United We Stand." The other pieces are Winfield Scott Hancock DeWitt 1880-3 with his portrait on the front and military motto-symbols on the reverse. Next is a Garfield/Arthur jugate as DeWitt 1880-10. Also, a Garfield single portrait as DeWitt 1880-8. From 1884 is the Cleveland/Hendricks jugate. This was originally silvered brass with traces of the silvering remaining. DeWitt 1884-16. Also, from this campaign is the Blaine/Logan DeWitt 1884-21. The Garfield single picture shows some smoothing of the details and is just Fine but the others are all extremely Fine to Exc.
