These were issued in 1950-1951 by Wheaties but what we have here are apparently remainder issues repackaged for sale in stores. There are 24 different issues, each 2.75x7". The countertop display box is 7x8.5x2" deep largely covered by brown tape as once sealed, however, text visible on end flaps reads "Jumbo Pops And Free Comic Books/5¢/24 Count, Sharp & Shearer Inc." The 24 comics fit perfectly into the box w/room left over for the lollipops although these are missing. Box remains tight but w/tape just VG. Wheaties issued four sets of eight designated by letters A through D. These are complete sets of B, C and D and each set is numbered 1-8. Characters include Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, Li'l Bad Wolf, Gus and Jaq. Back covers have different ads for Wheaties including these comic book sets, Disney masks, etc. B-1 has tiny corner tip chip to entire issue at lower left. B-3 has ft. crease to cover and first few pages. These two are Fine while all others are N. Mint. These are listed in the promotion section of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide w/combined value in stated condition of over $1400. First we've seen w/this display box.
