Twelve hardcovers, each 6.25x8.5" by D. C. Heath and Co. Published between 1939 and 1948. Books feature a wide range of Disney characters and are along the same line as Dick and Jane books used to teach children to read, books became progressively harder as the children moved from one book to the next in the series. This is the complete set of 12 (a Bongo book was proposed and is listed on some title pages but never published). Cover condition varies w/lower grade books having aging and color rubs, higher grade books show just minor corner tip or edge wear. There are some inked inscriptions, etc. but for the most part, contents to all books remain bright and clean. Contents for the most part are VF to Exc. while covers are as follows: Water Babies Circus and Other Stories, VG; Here They Are, Bambi, School Days In Disneyville, Little Pigs Picnic and Other Stories, Dumbo are Fine; Mickey Never Fails, Mickey Sees The USA, Pinocchio are VF; Donald Sees South America, Donald Duck and His Nephews, Donald Duck and His Friends are Exc. Also included is dust jacket for Pinocchio. Dust jackets in this series are very rare. Moderate scattered margin wear/aging, small tears and some tiny missing pieces. VG.
