Set consists of 3.5" "Baby Tractor" reverse windup toy and three other pieces of farm equipment. Litho tin and painted tin. By Animate Toys, 1920s. Lot also includes one 9" square box lid top only and 9x2.5" side panel of original box. These have aging, front panel has red markings "Old-Xmas 1920." Side panel has missing surface paper where B and H are as well as break which has been repaired w/archival tape. Good. These just come along, however, top of box makes nice backdrop for display as is. Baby Tractor works, this is not the case w/most of these toys as its unusual reverse windup mechanism was often broken by children pushing the toys forward. Also included are mower w/operating lever to bring it up and down, hay rake w/operating lever and hay wagon w/removable bed and sides. Toys show lt. wear, a few scratches on bottom of tractor wheels o/w other three pieces of equipment are virtually blemish-free. Overall toys are VF/Exc. A nice set.
