Item Description
Lot of four 5.5x6.75" "Junior Edition" hardcovers by Rand McNally. Printed in 1940, ©1920 The Reilly & Lee Co. Books were written and illustrated by Teenie Weenie creator William Donahey and feature bw and full-color illustrations throughout. This is a complete set of 4 published by Rand McNally and include: "Adventures Of The Teenie Weenies" (329); "Down The River With The Teenie Weenies" (330); "The Teenie Weenies Under The Rosebush" (331); "The Teenie Weenies In The Wildwood" (333). Pictured on covers are Teenie Weenie characters "Cook," "Dunce," Fez-wearing Teenie Weenie and Chinese Teenie Weenie. Begun in the womens' section of The Chicago Tribune on Jun. 14, 1914, comic strip centered around tiny 2" tall characters living in life-size real objects which were huge in comparison. Lt. wear to edges/corners. Fine/VF overall. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
