Item Description
The ticket stub is 2.5x4.75". Tiny streak of surface paper off the left edge of the side showing the row and seat number. Side with their jugate portraits remains extremely clean. With the ticket come 28 buttons, tabs or ribbon badges. Majority of these are campaign buttons from 1948. Those that are not include a 1949 inauguration button and 3 "souvenir" ribbon badges, all identical, with a brass portrait token suspended below which has Truman's biographical data on the reverse. There is one Truman cartoon button actually from 1952 which reads "I'm For Stevenson/'How We'd Like Harry'." Also from the era of Watergate in the 70s is a Truman portrait button with his quotation "Nixon Is A Shifty-Eyed Goddamn Liar." There are also a pair of anti-Truman buttons, one reading "Truman For Ex-President" and the other for the "H-Club-Help Hustle Home Harry." The button duplicates in the lot are a group of three "Truman" rwb litho buttons and a pair of "Truman" white on dark blue litho buttons. This is a quality group with all the items in clean condition. A tiny pinpoint rub or two on some of the lithos but overall condition is Exc. and vast majority display Mint. An instant collection ideal for display or to build upon.
