Item Description
7.5" long tin litho toy with built-in key. ©1938 McCarthy Inc. Toy is marked on both sides of trunk with name and Marx logo as well as "Pats. Pending Made In USA." Rear of car also marked "Charlie McCarthy And Edgar Bergen." Toy works and travels around in an erratic fashion as Charlie's head turns and car rears up every so often. Car has overall darkening of the paint to a matte finish due to dust. Also shows moderate wear around tire rims, some light oxidation to windshield and darkening of the paint on Charlie's cheeks. Would benefit from a thorough cleaning and would display Fine.
