Item Description
8.5" long tin litho with built-in key. Car is marked in front of windshield "Uncle Wiggily Trademark ©1935 Howard R. Garis." Uncle Wiggily is depicted holding a basket full of eggs. Egg images also appear on top of trunk and hood. Sides and back of trunk and sides and front of hood all feature animals drawn in the style of the Uncle Wiggily books such as rabbit doing wash, dog juggling ball and bone, chipmunk riding a broom pulled by a goat and happy goose. The "Marx" logo is embossed on front of hood. Toy works and travels around in an erratic fashion as Uncle Wiggily's head turns about and every now and then car rears up and back down again. Wear on toy consists of few light spots of oxidation on one wheel, scratches around outer edges on all 4 wheels. Few nicks and scratches overall and another tiny spot of oxidation on edge of hood. Still, a great toy beautifully lithographed. Fine.
