Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
First is "Liberated Ladies Like McGovern & Schriver." This 1972 Bristow-made button features young woman nude from the waist up. Reverse has barely noticeable .25" hairline cello split along the collet. Causes no problem and piece displays Mint. Second is an unusual 1.25" with its reverse totally covered in metal and with a horizontal bar pin. Front shows peace dove and reads "McGovern In '72." A virtual pinpoint raised bump caused by the reverse bar pin. Around the reverse edge of the metal plate is tiny text difficult to read but which includes "Jeffersonians For McGovern" along with a post office box address in Wisconsin and apparently the name of the group's treasurer who paid for the button. First we've seen.
