Auction #196 - Part II
Item numbers 976 though 2670 in auction 196
Item Description
9" tall tin litho toy with built-in key. 1930s. Colorful toy works and depicts "George" in elaborate band uniform and attached at waist is large tin bass drum. He holds half of cymbals in one hand and a beater in the other. Toy works and he beats the drum and claps his cymbals together when wound. This is the version with moving eyes which go from side to side as other functions perform. Minor scattered wear on .5x.25" area where paint is down to the bare metal where his beater hits that side of the bass drum. Scattered paint nicks on pants and another small area of missing paint where his cymbals hit his chin. Fine.
