1930s by same Japanese company as previous items #1801-1802. Toy has overall size of 4x8x7" tall w/pair of attached celluloid figures, each 4" tall. Wire frame w/built-in key. Comes in exceptional box w/illustrations on all sides of the lid and title is "Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck On Trapeze." Pictures both of these characters. However, this is an apparent factory error in which there are figures of Donald and Minnie Mouse rather than Mickey (the same Minnie used for the previous item #1802). Box notes toy was distributed by Borgfeldt. Lid has moderate dust soiling. Near center of lid is a minor .5" puncture just above Donald's one hand although this has an archival tape repair on interior and only shows upon very close inspection. Box remains tight. Fine. Toy works. Figures have minor dust soiling but overall toy is Exc. An interesting factory error w/rare box. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
