Item Description
The original cardboard box w/lid is 4.5x4.5x5.25" tall and contains 4.25" tall tin litho sand pail. Ohio Art, 1930s. The box features graphics on all sides including bottom depicting different Disney Ohio Art products such as sand pails, teacups and saucers, plates. While this particular pail is not shown on the box, the items that are shown feature Mickey and Minnie, Horace, Big Bad Wolf and Three Little Pigs. Box has overall moderate wear/aging including surface paper rubs along edges. Box remains tight, VG/Fine. The only box of this type we've seen in our 41 years. Pail features great wrap-around scene that depicts Donald as a ship's captain looking through a telescope at Mickey who is shown as an island castaway in tattered attire. The ship has Donald figurehead w/title "Sir Donald Duck." This is version w/"Atlantic City" imprint. Trace of aging to interior, other minor scattered wear/aging but an extremely bright and clean example overall, rarely found this nice. VF/Exc.
