Item Description
A high quality group with several rarities. Sizes are 1" down to 5/8". Top left is early lapel stud c. 1900 showing drunk man supported by lamppost with his top hat on the ground. Reads "Just Tell Them That You Saw Me - That I Was Looking Well." Image is much the same as item #31, a German hand-carved figure of a man with a wind-up mechanism that produces motion of his head and a whistling tune. Others in this group are "Vote No For My Sake" showing young girl, extremely colorful button with man holding "Purity" banner and surrounding text "Liberty-Patriotism-Temperance-Good Citizenship." Next is "A Stainless Flag/A Saloonless State." This is the only one missing a backpaper. Last three are "Vote Dry" with a closed umbrella and a "Vote Dry" with a reference "Help Win The War." Last is "The Flying Squadron Of America For National Prohibition." This is a better condition version of the same button in lot #446. Note: The "Saloonless" button has 1907 copyright on the curl along with a man's name and the location of "Wilmington, Del." An Exc. group displaying Mint.
