Item Description
9.5x12" sheet of animation paper has 7.25x9" image area done in lead and blue colored pencil showing Donald Duck wearing sombrero and playing the guitar with a look of bliss on his face as he thinks he is being kissed by Donna Duck while in fact being kissed by Basil the Burro. Donna sits to the left with fan in front of her face. Cactus in foreground and bkg. Two hearts appear over Donald and Basil. From 1937 Donald Duck cartoon, his first starring role as well as the first appearance of Donna Duck, Donald's girlfriend who would eventually become Daisy Duck. Lt. handling and aging but clean with Exc. art. One couldn't ask for a better scene showing Donald and Donna, early in their careers. Likely used for publicity purposes. Great image.
