Item Description
9x27.25" sheet of animation paper with attached 6x9" "Background Instruction Card." 8.25x12.25" image area done in blue and red colored pencils. Blue pencil shows The Marx Bros. at piano with Fats Waller. Secondary animation shows Chico in silhouette playing with his trademark "gun" style and Fats reacts with surprise as Harpo plucks strings of piano. From 1938 Silly Symphony. Additional production notations around art. As noted on attached card, this is for Scene #64 and is dated "3-22-38." Animator is noted as being Ward Kimball. Three vertical fold lines. Instruction card has been secured by tape at left, staples at right, both of which show some oxidation. Lt. handling/aging. Art area remains VF. Great scene.
