Item Description
Lot of four, 2.5x2.5x5/8" deep tin litho. Two bear same Segar-like image of Popeye about to deposit a handful of coins. Third features differing image of Popeye in same pose. These 3 feature side portraits of Olive Oyl, Wimpy and John Sappo. Reverses include simulated woodgrain design. One of 2 have st. text difference with "Made In U.S.A." atop text. All 3 c. 1930s but bear 1929 KFS copyright. "Popeye Daily Dime Bank" has 1956 King Features Syndicate Inc. copyright and has image of Popeye juggling coins with side images of Wimpy with angry chef, Olive Oyl and Swee'Pea. All banks have scattered edge wear with some traces of bare metal showing. Fine overall.
