Item Description
10x11.5" cardboard cover contains set of six 78-rpm records released by the Gramophone Co. Ltd. of England, RCA affiliate. From 1936. Choice paper label on front depicts Mickey, Donald and Fifer Pig on a spinning record. Title label on spine includes additional image of Mickey although partially missing due to some scattered edge wear. Front label has moderate aging but retains bright appearance with vibrant color. Inside front cover has attached plate with image of Mickey carrying a stack of records and this has owner's name inked at appropriate line, small .5" piece missing at bottom right corner. Inside back cover has attached plate of Mickey holding picture featuring Nipper logo design. Album has six bound-in paper sleeves to hold the records. Each record has same label showing the characters featured on the front cover. Recordings are from "The Actual Sound Films" which are "Who Killed Cock Robin, The Orphan's Benefit, Mickey's Grand Opera, Three Little Wolves, Three Little Pigs, Mickey's Moving Day, Grasshopper And The Ants, Lullaby Land, Farm Yard Symphony." Cover has scattered trace of edge wear and additional aging. Fine. Record/labels show just slight wear/aging. VF/Exc. A truly outstanding set. We have only offered this set one other time in our 41 years (in slightly better condition) and it sold for $1,265.
