Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
This rare 1.25" war era button features a baseball design with text "Score Against Hitler/Lift Ban On Negro Players." The button has no stain but there is an area of air under the celluloid which makes about 40% mostly on the upper right just a little darker white tone than the remaining white areas. Bottom curl has New York union bug. One of only 3 examples we are aware of from the last ten years. Still high gloss and full color. A fabulous button related to WWII, baseball and civil rights. Comes with Hake's COA. Rare.
