Item Description
Silvered brass base with adjustable bands that are slightly dented but still well formed feature crossed bats and baseball on top of each side. The ring top has a raised celluloid dome replica of an "Official" baseball. Surrounding silvered text against a blue bkg. 80% with color remaining reads "Seattle Rainiers." However, if the team name lettering is right-side up, then the lettering on the baseball is upside-down and visa-versa. We had a ring of the same design in Auction #195 issued for Philadelphia baseball announcer "Bill Dyer WCAU." That example exceeded $300. This example is a Wheaties premium from the 1930s. Rare and VF.
