Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
7/8" has W&H backpaper used 1900-1912. The government's definition of 'Indian Wars' was 1864-1898. The group that issued this button was formed by veterans to serve as a service organization the same way the G.A.R. was a service organization for the Civil War Veterans. The design is a Maltese cross featuring a crossed pair of early rifles while horizontally is an Indian arrow. Tiny pitting on the reverse collet but no stain and the piece displays Mint.
