Auction #196 - Part II
Item numbers 976 though 2670 in auction 196
Item Description
Large 12x30x17" tall wood. 1940s by Mengel Co. who produced different items of this nature including swinging and rocker toys, table and chair sets, etc. Same design appears on each side depicting Donald w/his traditional head although on the body of a standard duck, ducklings swim in the water beside him. On chair back is image of boy w/sprinkling can chasing after frogs, still attached is the original vinyl safety belt w/buckle. On one inside surface are attached bells which ring when rocking. Overall moderate trace of dust soiling. One extreme bottom side edge has a 2.5" sliver of wood missing, other small traces of edge wear. Fine. Nice large piece for display w/unusual Donald depiction. From the Tomart Archives and comes w/COA signed by Tom Tombusch & Ted Hake.
