Item Description
1930s by Soreng-Manegold (see other lamps by them, items #1858, 1952). 4x11x3" deep embossed tin litho w/attached metal bar that holds the socket. Flat back designed to be wall mounted. At bottom is image of Donald tipping his hat. Attached is the original stiff cardboard shade w/three different choice scenes. These are Donald, Mickey and Clarabelle washing dishes, Donald and Mickey serenading Minnie, Minnie watching Mickey and Donald playing football. Rewired and working. Shade has obvious wear and aging including some moisture spots, pair of small .5" punctures, several long creases to right/left sides w/surface paper breaks and a 2" tear. Still firmly attached as issued. Just Good but the only time in our 41 years we've offered this w/shade. Tin litho shows scattered small traces of wear and aging w/some paint nicks, a few tiny spots of oxidation and bit of crazing, however, remains bright and glossy. Fine. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
