Item Description
Lot of three high relief hard plastic displays, each about 28x36" with depth of 1" to 2". Back of each has wood block attachment for wall mounting, each complete with Disney copyright label also noting manufacturer W.L. Stensgaard and Associates Inc. of Chicago. This company made store displays and promotional items for Disney. These are c. 1955. First is train engine marked "Casey Jr." with Donald as the engineer. Notable defects include 3" crack at one of Donald's hands, 2" side edge piece missing from back of train so not visible when viewed straight-on. Next is Mad Hatter in a dragon calliope car. Notable defects include 6" hairline crack on dragon's body and 2" side edge piece missing from one wheel, again not noticeable when viewed straight-on. Final one is an ornate caboose with Mickey as the brake man. Hand holding lantern has 1.5" crack with 1" piece missing at wrist, again not visible when viewed straight-on. Aside from the noted defects, each has additional scattered dust soiling, wear and aging but remain great display pieces. If wall-mounted, these would be quite impressive. As is, condition is VG. Rare. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
