Item Description
14-1/8x19.5" page featuring bw pen and ink art. Featured in Dell's "The Lone Ranger" comic book #56 from Feb., 1953. Art was featured on page 4. Penciled and inked art by Tom Gill, working on The Lone Ranger into the 1970s. Art is done in 6 panels, 3 of which show The Lone Ranger and Tonto on Silver and Scout. Story deals w/the pair searching for bandits. Issue/page number inked at bottom left corner. Bottom margin reads "Lone Ranger #56 P.4 The Lone With His Mask Down For Dick Williams 9/10/80, Tom Gill" written in Gill's hand and pencil. Scattered margin aging/wear. Art areas remain Exc. Reverse of piece has note from Gill to original buyer in ink. Comes w/ VG/Fine copy of comic art appears in.
