Item Description
22x30.75" thin cardboard poster for Sep. 12, 1982 concert starring King in a "One Show Only" appearance at the Painters Mill Star Theatre in Owings Mills, MD. King was a popular disco and R&B singer in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Poster notes her song "Love Come Down" which featured ground-breaking use of synthesizers. Concert also featured Howard Johnson and Change. By Globe Poster, Baltimore, MD. Moderate handling wear, 1.5" tear in upper left corner and staple holes along margins, one resulting in .5" tear. Evenly aged. Poster design is unique as it harkens back to classic concert poster designs of the 1950s-1960s.
