Item Description
4.5x6" waxed paper. Gum Inc. © 1940 Superman Inc. Center features image of Superman, border design includes illustrations of prizes, mostly Superman-related including a sweatshirt, cutout book, tie, belt, etc. Text reads "Join The Superman Supermen Of America Club And Compete For These Valuable Prizes." Also as part of wrapper design is a "Membership Application" coupon. Five of these coupons were needed to order the club ring or badge along w/10¢. As often found, this coupon has portion printed on both top and bottom margins. Typical scattered creases from handling/as originally folded. Small 1/8" hole at top left corner of center design. Still clean and Fine. Classic wrapper for one of the most popular gum card sets of all time (see #2526).
