Item Description
10.75x14" photographer's folder contains expertly color-tinted 10.25x13.5" matte finish photo showing Corio in skimpy floral 2-piece. She has signed in black ink "To My Dear Friends Mr. & Mrs. Mariano Lucca. Sincerely Ann Corio." Folder shows some wear/aging. Fine. Photo remains mounted with ribbons at corners as originally packaged. Displays Exc. Comes with 2 glossy 8x10" photos from same photographer showing Corio posed in elegant plumed gown and hat. Pin holes at corners. Fine/VF. All c. 1930s. Corio, previously a showgirl became a very popular strip tease artist in New York City and Boston, later becoming an actress known for appearing on film in skimpy costumes. She later became a "YANK" magazine pin-up girl. Comes with Hake's COA. From the Mariano Lucca Collection.
