Item Description
Pair of 21x22" thin cardboard signs for "Musterole," a chest salve precursor to Vicks. c. 1940s. Each sign has bw photo images of the Dionne Quintuplets and each bears King Features Syndicate copyright. One sign shows The Dionnes playing with generic doll, one holding jar of Musterole, another with box. Text reads "First Aid For Distress Of Chest Colds Used By The Quintuplets Since They Were Tiny Tots." Other sign shows bw portrait images of the Dionnes positioned around radio microphone as they appeared in their early teen years. Text reads "Quintuplets Tell The World Musterole Brings Quick Release From Distress Of Chest Colds." Both signs have bottom corners clipped as produced. Both have moderate wear with 2" to 3" tears along margins and creasing. VG overall.
