Item Description
2.5x8" fabric used at some event "Cleveland, O. 1895." Heavy hairline fold 1" down from top but rest is Exc. This New York City resident was treasurer of Republican campaign committee for many years. He was also a potential VP nominee in 1896 after McKinley secured the presidential nomination. In business, he headed McAlpin & Co. Tobacco Co. and built the NYC hotel named for him, at the time the largest in the world. Later, he was president of the Boy Scouts. Rare and first we've seen. Displays N. Mint.
