Item Description
Weizmann was a Zionist leader, president of the World Zionist Organization and in 1949 was elected president of Israel - this item likely commemorates his election. Overall size is 4-1/8x5.5" consisting of solid brass plate 1/16" thick, with beveled edges and black finish. At the center is 2x2.75" precise portrait in brass. A few Hebrew characters appear on bottom edge of his image and a few more on the plate .5" below the image. Reverse has loop for hanging plus a narrow metal bar that serves as an easel for displaying on flat surface. One of the two nut-like fasteners on the reverse securing the portrait to the plate is gone but one is sufficient. Very minor wear to the black finish. High quality and VF.
