6x9". 48 pages. c. 1890s. Colorful front and back covers with detailed circus scene on front/pig race on back. Both promote "Barker's Nerve And Bone Liniment." The Barker-Moore & Mein Medicine Co. Philadelphia. .25" wide strip of color loss on front and back spine. Lt. aging/handling wear to covers. Covers display Fine. Contents is printed on evenly-tanned newspaper stock. Book is page after page of humorous illustrations, detailed stories/text. All illustrations mention "Barker's Products." Many illustrations feature humorous scenes often at the expense of satired stereotypical black characters. Politically incorrect by today's standards. Each story seems to include or even be resolved by a Barker product. Interesting. Additional images available online. Fine.
