Lot of ten. First two are 6x9" softbound books on ventriloquism and hypnotism. c. 1950s. Exc. Next are two catalogues from "Kanter's Magic Shop" Philadelphia. First is 1939 with 216 pages. Second is 1948 with 400 pages. Offered is anything and everything needed in the magic industry from card and rope tricks to elaborate performance props and advertising. Handling wear. Fine. Next is 5 issues of "The Sphinx/Kansas City Missouri/Official Origin Of Society Of American Magicians." Three 1928 (brittle - just good), two 1931 (VG). Last is "Spirit Mediums Exposed" 1930 publication by Samri Frikell. 96 page magazine denouncing spiritualists. Articles, letters, statements for and against mediums by Houdini, Thurston, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Photo/illustrations feature Thurston, Houdini, Rubini, Thomas Edison and others. Noticeable wear with 1.25" chip on spine. Pages tanned with age. VG. An interesting group.
