9x15.75x1.75" deep box contains Canadian version of game (see #2292) by Somerville. c. early 1940s. Game came in different sized boxes and playing pieces also vary. Game is marked "Made In Canada" between buildings at lower right with Somerville logo in upper left. Box graphics differ from item #2292 in color only. Lid has scattered edge wear, mostly at corners and along bottom side panel edge but box retains its structural integrity. Fine-. Box contains 13.5x17" gameboard with office scene at center depicting Perry White behind his desk next to vacant desk of Clark Kent. This is surrounded by repeated small images of Superman breaking chains and Clark Kent. Scattered handling wear/aging. Faint 1/8" ripple to surface paper. Board is slightly warped but clean and VF/Exc. Comes with 4 original colored wood markers representing Superman and wooden die as issued. Scarce version.
